Initiating change in Israel’s employment diversity practices
Joint initiative by itworks and MEPI- American Embassy in Israel
Diversity Works aims to initiate a change across hi tech sector, creating an inclusive work place- both in environment and practices.
Majority of employers in Israel’s economy, understand the business incentive behind employment diversity and integration of excluded populations in the work force. However, only 1% of managerial positions in Israeli economy, are staffed by populations removed from the work force. Only 6 companies from TA 100 Index, have female CEO’s. The initiative seeks to resolve the lacking representation of excluded populations in academic- managerial positions and to groom the next generation of senior management. Diversity Works model is built for CEO’s and GM’s who can deploy the program in their organizations. Thus, the success of the process lies in the commitment of senior management to transforming the way they do business
Diversity Works objectives:
Awareness: Enhance diversity -awareness in the workplace as a growth engine
Action: Create and enhance best practices towards diversity
Advocacy: Promote values of inclusiveness and integration across sector
The program consists of CEO summits, Executive forum, HR workshops, HR forum.
