Over the past decade, Walaa has worked to promote the integration of Arab academic graduates into Israel’s high-tech industry, driven by a deep belief in closing gaps and building a shared and equitable society in Israel.
She currently manages the Women in Tech program, which includes coordinating with companies to provide annual DEI training courses and inclusion consultants to ensure that companies are prepared to receive employees from various backgrounds. She also plays a key role in designing and leading internship, training, and placement programs for underrepresented populations from Arab, Bedouin, and Druze communities.
She lives in Daburiyya, the village where she was born, and holds a law degree from Tel Aviv University. Beyond work, she enjoys traveling, baking, books, movies, and strong coffee.
