Shira Erez is the VP of Development at itworks, bringing more than 20 years of experience in resource development roles within the social sector and a deep commitment to meaningful social impact. Born in Nahariya and currently living in Regba, near Israel’s northern border, Shira brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal connection to itworks’ mission in the North. She earned her B.A. in English Literature and Political Science and her M.A. in Public Policy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Shira joined itworks because she wanted to be part of a national mission that feels especially urgent and personal: helping bring high-value employment opportunities to the North at a critical moment in Israel’s history. She strongly believes in the promise of High-Tech Horizon and in itworks’ ability to create lasting change in the region.
In her role, Shira leads itworks’ resource development efforts, oversees fundraising strategies in Israel and abroad, cultivates relationships with foundations, corporate partners, and private donors, and helps expand the organization’s network of supporters. Fluent in Hebrew and English, Shira brings strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, and deep purpose to her work.
