Shira was born and raised in Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in Communication and Towson University with an MS in Occupational Therapy. She moved to Israel in 2021 with her family, hoping to pursue a career that would tie together all her skills and passions. She has always been a fierce writer and believer in fighting for marginalized communities- which is what attracted her to itworks. Here, in addition to creating new partnerships and fostering old ones, she writes all the English marketing materials, reports, and content on the site.
When she’s not saving the world at the office, Shira’s saving one of her kids from running into the street. She lives in Netanya with her wonderful husband and four energetic children.
